El fallecido actor Heath Ledger gana como mejor villano en los Premios MTV Movie Awards, y la pelicula Twilight fue la gran ganadora de la noche con 5 premios incluyendo mejor película.

Twilight lidera las nominaciones a los MTV Movie Awards 2009, seguida por Slumdog Millionaire. El publico decidira votando en el sitio web quien es el ganador. Se agregaron nuevas categorias como la de “el mejor momento WTF” y mejor cancion para pelicula.
